Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the manufacture and raise the precision by fitting a gear engaging with a teeth-shaped member to a moving body and by fitting a means for detecting the amount of rotation also to the moving body. CONSTITUTION:The gear 10 engaging with the teeth-shaped member 5 of a stator 2 is fitted rotatably to the moving body 1 by a supporting member 11 and a rotary shaft 12. Moreover, in the middle of the gear 10 and the supporting member 11 is fitted a slit disc 14 with a number of slits 13 formed at equal intervals along the circumference of the circle, and the slit disc 14 is devised so that it rotates with the gear 10. In addition, to the moving body 1 is fitted a photodetector 16 through the intermediary of an arm 15, and this photodetector 16 has a light-emitting element and a light-receiving element, which are fixed opposedly to each other in such a manner that they hold the outer-peripheral part of the disc 14 between them through the intermediary of a minute aperture. By this constitution, the precision of making of slits can be raised and thus the pulse motor of high reliability can be obtained.
