Abstract

PURPOSE: To accurately control the air-fuel ratio so as to agree with the set air-fuel ratio by providing an annular space between the timing valve body in the supercharging passage and the bearing as well as a communicating passage which communicates said space with the suction passage in order to measure the air quantity accurately.
CONSTITUTION: Downstream an air detector 5, a suction passage 3 is divided into a main suction passage 6 and a supercharging passage 7. Provided in the main suction passage 6 are a throttle valve 8 and an indicator 10 which injects a set amount of fuel into the main suction passage 6 according to the amount of the suction air detected by the air detector 5. On the other hand, in the supercharging passage 7 a supercharger 14, a control valve 15 and a timing valve 16 are provided. Around the valve body 30 of the timing valve 16, an annular groove 37 is provided in order to form an annular space 38, which is connected through a communicating passage 23 to the supercharging passage 7 upstream the supercharger 14. Thereby, because the annular space 38 prevents the air from flowing out to or in from the outside, the amount of the air detected by the air detector 5 is made accurate.
