Abstract

PURPOSE: To relieve load on the bearing of a vibrator as well as prevent the occurrence of noise by a method in which a great vibration is generated in the top of a pile by using a small exciting force by giving a right-angle-directional vibration to the axis of the pile so as to make the frequency the resonance frequency of the pile.
CONSTITUTION: A pile 1 is driven while giving a right angle-directional vibration in relation to the axis of the pile to the pile 1 by means of an vibrator 1, where the frequency of the vibrator 2 is regulated by means of an oil-pressure flow regulating valve 8 so as to make it coincide with the resonance frequency of the pile 1. Also, a frequency detector 9 is attached to the vibrator 2 and a frequency monitoring device 10 is also provided. Thus, driving work can be advanced while always monitoring the frequency of the vibrator 2, and also a great vibration can be generated in the top of the pile by even smaller exciting force. In addition, load imposed on the bearing of the vibrator 2 can be lessened.
