Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an offset master which has an improved hydrophilicity, by a method wherein silica and aluminum oxide are included in a pigment and the amount of the pigment is 2W7 times as much as that of a binder.
CONSTITUTION: In a recording layer, which is formed on a support made of paper or plastic and whose main component is a pigment and a hydrophilic binder, 1W 10wt% silica and aluminum oxide are incorporated in the pigment, and the amount of the pigment is 2W7 times by weight as much as that of the binder. A cellulose derivative, such as PVA or CMC, and oxidized starch are used as the binder, and clay, calcium carbonate, aluminum oxide and the like are used as the pigment. Silica and aluminum oxide have usually a high oil absorption property, and therefore absorption of a developing solve is accelerated, and blur and tailing of a picture can be prevented. Thus, a clear printing matter can be obtained.
