Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a lift-off tape that is not adhesive in the normal state, but becomes adhesive under the influence of an external force such as typing pressure, by retaining an adhesive mass in fine pores in a fine porous layer, wherein adhesive agent is solid in the normal state, but becomes fluidous under the influence of an external force.
CONSTITUTION: On the surface of a substrate 1 a fine-porous layer 2 is formed retaining in its fine pores a solid adhesive agent preferably consisting of tackifier, a nonvolatile oil, and a gelling agent. The porous layer 2 is a pressure-sensitive exudation type porous layer, so that when printing pressure is applied on the substrate 1, the adhesive agent retained in the fine pores will be exuded onto the surface of the porous layer 2. When the thus prepared lift-off tape is placed on an image 4 erroneously printed on a copy sheet 3, and a type 5 corresponding to the image 4 is printed from the undersurface of the substrate 1, the untransferable adhesive agent in the fine-porous layer 2 is changed from its solid state to its liquidous state, and is exuded onto the surface to take off the image 4 from the copy sheet.
