Abstract
PURPOSE: To apply noncombustible heat insulation of good water resistance on steel- made plant by affixing heat insulation boards on the surface coated with rust preventive coats by means of an adhesive agent, and drying the same then coating an inorg. high polymer coating material thereon.
CONSTITUTION: An oily or nonaqueous rust preventive coat is applied on the surface to be heat insulated of a steel-made plant and is dried. Next, inorg. fiber boards of glass fibers or the like or heat insulation boards made of foamed plastics are affixed by using an inorg. high-polymer coating material contg. silica sol and inorg. fiber fine-grained powder as an adhesive agent and coating the same on the joints between the boards or the heat insulation surface. After this has dried, an inorg. high-polymer coating material contg. silica sol and inorg. fiber fine-grained powder is coated on the surface of these boards are is dried. Further, if necessary, waterproof paint is coated thereon to finish.
