Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to switch light circuits easily through single operation of one switch by a mirror assembly consisting of four mirrors united mutually at right angles with their mirror surfaces outside. CONSTITUTION:Light switch 10 is provided in housing 60, and assembly consisting of four total reflection mirrors 61-64 made in a body and two lenses 71-78 for inputting and outputting light signal inputting and outputting are provided for each mirror. Then, terminal de vice 2 is coupled with in-use circuits made of optical fibers (N system) 45 and 46 and stand-by circuits (E system) 49 and 50 via interface part 6. Light signals passed through the in-use circuits are inputted by way of lenses 71 and 72 and photoelectric converter 23 and then outputted to fiber 46 by way of electrophoto converter 15 and lenses 73 and 74. If terminal equipment 2 runs into trouble, the assembly of mirrors 61-64 is driven to place it out of the plane in which the optical path exists, and consequently optical paths of lenses 71 and 74, 72 and 77, 73 and 76, and lenses 75 and 78 are formed to form the work loop of terminal 2 while disconnecting the circuit from terminal 2.
