Abstract

PURPOSE:To display which of front-side or back-side copying is being executed by detecting the recording paper first discharged to a tray and the recording paper first fed from the tray, respectively electrically, and using the detected signals thereof. CONSTITUTION:When a both-side copying mode is set, the display command of both-side copying mode is emitted from a CPU1 to a driver 6, then a display lamp L1 goes on. When the 1st copying is executed by a copying start button and the first recording paper is discharged to the tray, a detector 8 detects this and sends the detected signal to the CPU1. This causes a lamp L2 which announces the execution of both-side copying to go on. Upon completion of the front-side copying, the back-side copying is started, and when the first recording paper having been copied on the front side is fed from the tray, the detector 8 detects this, and causes the lamp L2 which announces the execution of both-side copying to flicker.
