Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance copying efficiency, by providing means for comparing transparency of originals, sending the original at a short interval when there is no difference of transparency between the preceding original and the next original, and not sending the original until the preceding original has finished its exposure when there is some difference. CONSTITUTION:Transparency measured with an original transparency detector 8 is fed to a computer through a switch SW2. A feed roller 3 and a belt 4 are provided with a clutch 1. When there is no difference of transparency, the original is fed at intervals of l1 by turning on or off a switch SW1 located at a position apart from the roller 3 by l1, transparency is compared through the switch SW2, but since there is no difference, the original is exposed at the same speed as that of the preceding original. When there is some difference, the clutch 1 is disengaged by turning on the switch SW2, the original is stopped for a time corresponding to l2+l3, then the clutch 1 is engaged again, the original is converted into a proper speed by the signal of a switch SW3, and it is exposed, thus permitting the original to be fed at an interval of l1 when no difference of transparency, and efficiency to be improved.
