Abstract
PURPOSE: To operate the device surely against invasion of an abnormal pressure and prevent the device from being broken simply by a reverse pressure by a method wherein the first safety repture disc at the input side of the pressure releasing device equipped to a steam generator is made into a tension type and the second safety rupture disc at the output side is made into a converting type.
CONSTITUTION: When a water leak accident, in which several pieces of heat transmitting tube are broken in the steam generator, occurs, water is reacted with sodium, the pressure in the steam generator is increased rapidly and two sleets of the safety rupture discs 19a, 19b for the pressure releasing device are ruptured sucessively. In this process, the reverse pressure is applied from a discharging piping 5, but the second safety rupture disc 19b is functioned as the tension type rupture disc against the reverse pressure, therefore, it is not ruptured even if the reverse pressure which is several times of a positive rupturing set pressure is applied. Because the first safety rupture disc is the tension type, the rupturing property thereof is very sure.
