Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the stable rotation of an engine by controlling a fuel injection pump by means of a mechanical type governor and an electronic type governor, that is, in an emergency, compulsorily controlling the fuel infection pump by the mechanical type governor and, in normal driving, using an electronic type governor.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel injection pump 1 is controlled by a mechanical type governor 33 and an electronic type governor 29. When the rotational number of the engine exceeds the set value, operating levers 12 and 16 are moved in the direction of W-V, and a rack rod is operated in the direction of X-Y to reciprocate a plunger 3 within a barrel 3. When the rotational number of the engine is less than the set value, the long hole 13 of the lever 12 does not engage the projection 10 of the rack rod 13, and hence a pump 1 does not operate. Upon this occasion, the electronic type governor 29 operates, and the rack rod 7 is driven through the operating shaft 20 and the ball joint 18 to control the pump 1.
