Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the paintability, printability, adhesivity, etc. of a molded article made of a propylene polymer filled with inorganic fine powder, by irradiating the surface of the article with low temperature plasma.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of a molded article made of a composite resin composed of a propylene polymer and 5W60wt% of inorganic fine powder (e.g. talc, clay, etc.), is irradiated with low temperature plasma generated by exciting a gas such as oxygen, nitrogen, argon, helium, etc., with glow discharge, high frequency discharge, etc. under a pressure of ≤100mmHg, pref. 0.1W10mmHg at an intensity of 100W60,000Wsec/l, pref. 200W30,000Wsec/l. The surface of the article is polarized and roughened by the treatment.
