Abstract
PURPOSE: To measure the moisture value of cereal grains with high accuracy by bringing a presser which is provided with a sensor on the pressing surface into compression contact with the cereal grains in a cereal tank to rearrange the distibution structure thereof then measuring the electrostatic capacity of the cereal grains and make correction with respect to cereal grain densities.
CONSTITUTION: A moisture measuring meter 2 is provided in the upper part of a machine frame 1 for moisture measurement and a weight measuring meter 3 in the lower part, respectively. A presser 6 provided internally with a sliding cylinder 5 is mounted freely movably to the meter 2, and a sensor 7 consisting of cathode and anode is set on the pressing surface on the presser 6. Additionally, the detection signal emitted via a detecting circuit from the sensor 7 provided to the presser 6 surface of the meter 2 is inputted to a correcting circuit 21. In the circuit 21, the moisture value measured in the state that uneven densities are eliminated by compressing the cereal grain layer is properly corrected to increase or decrease; moreover, the moisture value having undergone density correction is displayed in a display device, hence the cereal grain moisture value is measured always highly accurately.
