When the sleeve 6 is turned in the direction of the arrow, the toner 8 supplied onto the sleeve 6 can be coated in a certain thickness by the blade 3. On the other hand, the magnetic induction is caused to the substance 7 on the surface of the sleeve opposing to the fixed bar-shaped magnet 9, and thus a converged and high-density magnetic field emerges on the surface of the substance 7. Thus the toner on the sleeve 6 opposing to the permanent magnet 9 is tuft-stood up vertically to the surface of the sleeve to form the magnetic brush 10. The bursh 10 has a long and dense tuft to avoid both the ground fog and the narrowing of the thin line.
