Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate the maintenance and inspections of a blower, by cooling the device whose temperature rising limit is low, and cooling other devices with the exhausting wind from said device, and by providing only one motor driven blower.
CONSTITUTION: A device employing a thyristor and a motor driven blower BL are installed in an electric car having a device employing a thyristor, a main smoothing reactor, and a filter reactor. A thyristor chopper device CH whose temperature rising limit is low is forcibly cooled, and the main smoothing reactor MSL and the filter reactor FL are cooled in series by the wind exhausted from the CH. Since only one motor driven blower is provided, the maintenance and inspections can be performed easily. Since the motor driven blower is provided inside the car, the noises to the outside of the car can be decreased.
