Abstract
PURPOSE: To ensure an easy setting of a genuine worked core, by setting the center shaft nearly at the center of the cylindrical component to use it as a tentative core and then setting plural units of tentative worked cores through a pivoted arm and the length measuring mechanism with reference to the measuring mechanism of the rotational angle.
CONSTITUTION: The whole centering device is shifted to the fixed position of the cylindrical component 13 and then fixed onto the inner circumference surface 14 with the expansion foot 15. The center shaft 11 is shifted on the base plate by the shifting components 16 and 17 to set the tentative core C1. Then the rotational angle standard of the pivoted arm 20 is set at an optional position A1. The distance between the shaft 11 and the contact roller 23 is detected by the length measuring mechanism 25 at each of points A2, A3 and A4 obtained by turning the arm 20 by 90, 180 and 270° each and in reference to the rotational angle measuring mechanism 21. Thus the 1st tentative worked core CA is set by the arithmetic process part. On the other hand, the new rotational angle reference position B1 is set between A1 and A2, and the arm 20 is turned in the same way as mentioned above to set the 2nd tentative worked core CB. Then the center C between the cores CA and CB is set to the genuine worked core.
