Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the residual magnetic flux density of steel materials to be measured in a short time by using DC pulse current as exciting current and detecting magnetic force characteristics from the difference in the excited detection voltages.
CONSTITUTION: When DC pulse current is applied to a steel material, pulses are generated in a pulse generator A, and this pulse current is amplified by a pulse amplifier B, whereby the pulse value is obtained. Next, the voltage excited by this is amplified by a pulse amplifier B' and is detected via a detecting mechanism C. The DC pulse current is increased gradually, and when the difference between the pulse value and the pulse potential obtained in the mechanism C exceeds a fixed value, a discriminator D operates and a gate G is closed by the operation of this discriminator D, then a pulse counter E starts operating and the result thereof is displayed in a display device F.
