Abstract
PURPOSE: To raise the precision of analysis by securely and promptly removing the magnetic field of the previous analysis remaining in the electromagnet every time, when continuously and sucessively analysing specimens in a magnetism analytical apparatus to determine the magnetic component phase in a metal material.
CONSTITUTION: Due to signals from a sequence circuit, the materials to be examined are successively supplied into a magnetism analytical apparatus, and the specimen weight M1 is measured by a magnetic balance. A constant direct current is passed into the electromagnet in the magnetic balance from a constant current circuit, and the weight M2 containing the weight M1 and the magentic attraction force to the specimen is measured. The difference between weights M1 and M2 is A/D converted, operated, and the magnetic attraction force to the specimen is displayed digitally. Next, a constant direct current of the reverse polarity is passed into the electromagnet from a small constant current circuit for a period of time necessary for eliminating the residual magnetic field, so that the error due to residual magnetic field when measuring the weight M1 of a next specimen may be eliminated.
