CONSTITUTION:An insulated base plate 1, on which electron beam control electrodes 2 are arranged at regular distances, a plurality of linear hot cathodes 3 arranged in such a manner as to cross said electron beam control electrodes 2 almost at a right angle, a lattice shaped electrode 4 having through holes 5 at a position corresponding to each point of intersection by the electron beam control electrode 2 and the linear hot cathode 3, a deflecting electrode 6, for deflecting an electron beam, and a luminous display board 11, in which a luminous material layer 10 emitting light by a collision of the electron beam is provided, are allowed to almost parallelly keep regular distances and constitute a picture display device.
