Abstract

PURPOSE: The reaction of a 2-halogeno-3,4-dihydroxyquinazoline with an α-halogeno-fatty acid ester is effected in the presence of an acid acceptor to produce the titled compound, with α-lower alkoxycarbonylalkyl as a 3-substituent readily.
CONSTITUTION: The reaction of a compound of formula I (R1, R2 are H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, halogen; X1 is halogen) with another compound of formula II (R3 is H, lower alkyl; R4 is lower alkyl; X2 is halogen) is carried out in the presence of an acid acceptor such as potassium carbonate or sodium carbonate to produce the compound of formula III. The reaction is effected in an inert solvent such as acetone or methyl ethyl ketone under reflux for several to 20hr.
USE: A synthetic intermediate of a compound of formula IV, which has excellent activity of blood platelet coagulation inhibition.
