Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the function of the unit by a method wherein when a yoke wound with a coil is disposed while being pivotally supported in the center between two armatures parallel to each other and made the polarized electromagnet unit, a magnetic fluid is inserted between the armatures and the yoke. CONSTITUTION:The upper armature 4 and lower armature 5 are disposed in parallel, a member having an axis 6 is fixed in the center between the armatures, the yoke 1 which is pivotally supported with the axis 6 and wound with the coil 3 on one side is swingably fixed between the armatures 4 and 5. Contact pieces 4a and 5a respectively are fitted inside the ends of the respective armatures and the yoke 1 is also provided with the contact pieces 2a and 2b on the top and bottom surfaces at the ends, and passin currents through the coil 3 effects contact of the contact piece 4a with the 2a or the 5a with the 2b respectively. In this construction, the magnetic fluid X composed of carriers of magnetite particles, water and hydrogenfluoride, etc. is enclosed between the armatures and the yoke, thereby effecting an airgap to be reduced and also a magnetic loss to be decreased.
