Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce a loss of iron materials by increasing an efficiency of stock layout by a method wherein a dimensional relationship between an opening part and a magnetic path and magnetic shunt is specified in the iron core of a stabilizer of the type in which the secondary coils are arranged at both ends of the primary coil. CONSTITUTION:The leakage autotransformer type stabilizer 2 forming a stabilizer for two lamps is provided with the common primary coil 3 connected to AC power supply 1 and the two secondary coils 4, 4' located at both ends of the primary coil. Then, a fluorescent lamp 5 with a glow starter 6 and a fluorescent lamp 5' with a glow starter 6' are connected in parallel to the coils 4, 4' respectively to be made a discharge lamp lighting circuit. With this construction, structures of the iron cores 9, 9' out of an internal I-type iron core 7 used for the stabilizer 2 and external iron cores 9, 9' are made as follows. That is, assuming now that the iron cores 9, 9' are made rectangular in the direction parallel to the axial direction D of the coil and the length takes l, the width of the primary coil penetrating windows 11 is prescribed as l/4, and widths of center legs 8, 8', the secondary coil penetrating windows 12, 12', the both ends magnetic paths 13, 13' respectively are prescribed as l/8.
