Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the lowering of the braking pressure due to a transient deceleration change of the wheel, by decreasing or increasing the braking pressure according to the deceleration of the wheel when a slip coefficient has become above a prescribed value.
CONSTITUTION: A pulse signal from a wheel velocity sensor 1 is converted at a wheel velocity arithmetic unit 2 into a wheel velocity signal V, which is then differentiated at an acceleration and deceleration arithmetic unit 3 into a signal proportional to the acceleration or deceleration of the wheel. The output of the arithmetic unit 3 is subtracted at a subtractor 4 by a certain value corresponding to a prescribed acceleration. A vehicle velocity arithmetic unit 5 receives the signal V and a signal from a vehicle deceleration detector 51, and when the decreasing rate of the signal V is above a prescribed value the unit 5 outputs a vehicle velocity signal E that decreases at a decreasing rate according to the vehicle deceleration. The signal E is inputted via an attenuator 6 into a comparator 7, and when the comparator 7 outputs an H level, an electric current proportional to the output of the subtractor 4 transmitted through a switch 8 is applied by an amplifier 9 to a pressure controlling valve L10.
