Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce a torque ripple by a method wherein digital information of a correct sin-wave signal is kept in memory, the information is read in synchronous with a revolving speed of a rotor and a magnetic field, and a motor is driven.
CONSTITUTION: Digital information sampled by signals of a frequency generator 21 mounted on a rotor are stored in ROM31, 41 and read by counters 32, 42 in synchrous with the field obtained from Hall elements 61, 71 for detecting positions. Then, a pulse width modulating signal is fed to the outputs of flip-flops 81S, 81C, using a variable frequency oscillator 82 and counters 83S, 83C and switch-controlled to excite stator coils 4, 5. Accordingly, torque ripples caused in gain differences of the Hall elements and DC off-set voltage can almost be removed, because a sine- wave without distortion is read to supply currents the stator.
