Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a picture transmitter using optical fiber to transmit pictures accurately by use of the optical fiber by ensuring use of normal optical fiber by combining an optical scanning method with one optical fiber transmission line. CONSTITUTION:Light from original image 1 to be transmitted is image-formed near the incident flank of optical fiber 5. The light of the formed image that corresponds to the fiber flank is transmitted to the output flank via fiber 5. Varying the angle to the light incident to mirror 3 shifts an image-formation position on fiber 5 and the light is scanned by moving mirror 3 so that respective parts of the formed image will be positioned on the incident flank of fiber 5. At the output side of fiber 5, similar mirror 16 is provided and mirror 16 is operated synchronizing with mirror 3 so that the complete image of the light from fiber 5 is reproduced on screen 10.
