Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture stainless steel having excellent adhesion to coating material, by regulating the concn. of aqueous soln. and DC current density in electrolysis in the aqueous soln. of NaCl and in the aqueous soln. of NaCl and hydrochloric acid using the stainless steel as anode. CONSTITUTION:As the first step, DC electrolysis is performed in aqueous NaCl soln. 0.02-2.0wt% in concn. at 20-100mA/cm<2> current density using stainless steel as an anode. To prevent the precipitation of metallic hydroxide caused by the increase in pH, DC electrolysis is performed in the second step in aqueous soln. 0.02-2.0wt% NaCl concn. and 0.03-3.0wt% hydrochloric acid concn. using the stainless steel as an anode at 20-100mA/cm<2> current density. Platinum is used as the cathode. In the second step, <=15wt% sodium citrate may be added to said aqueous soln. Hereby, stainless steel having rough surface high in anchoring effect is manufactured.
