Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent choking of a catalyst bed and deterioration of a catalyst due to dust, by a method wherein a centrifugal dust collector is mounted beneath a fixed catalyst bed so that the collector and the bed are united to one body, and an ammonia injecting nozzle is disposed between the dust collector and the fixed catalyst bed. CONSTITUTION:A cyclone type dust collector 2 is mounted beneath a fixed catalyst bed 1 so that they are united to one body. The dust collector 2 is provided with an exhaust gas inlet 3, and a disposal gas outlet 4 is positioned at an upper part of the fixed catalyst bed 1. An ammonia injecting nozzle 5 is located between the fixed bed 1 and the dust collector 2 to form a catalytic denitration reaction tower. In said catalytic denitration reaction tower, an exhaust gas from, for example, a boiler using heavy oil fuel only is fed to the cyclone type dust collector 2 positioned beneath the reaction tower, and 50-70% of 200mg/cm<2> of dust contained in the exhaust gas is removed thereat. Said dust is further settled in a dust chamber 8.
