Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate a deforming process by breaking foams in a slurry-form paint, by a method wherein a rotary pan is disposed to an agitation shaft positioned at the center of a tank having a pressure-reducing means. CONSTITUTION:Liquid, containing foams, being poured into a center of a pan 6 is particulated through the rotation of the pan 6, and the foams are broken by scattering to a side wall of a tank. A small amount of the foams , contained still after they are adhered to the side wall, grows by the aid of an eddy current produced at the lower part of the tank by means of an agitating disc 4, and defoamed rapidly. The liquid containing foams is stopped to flow by closing a valve 8 right before the surface of the liquid in the tank 1 reaches the rear surface of the pan 6. After the operation is continued further for several minutes, the pressure inside of the tank 1 is restored to the normal pressure by stopping a vacuum pump 2 and opening a valve 10. A valve 9 is then opened, and defoamed liquid is discharged to the outside the system.
