Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain water level detecting a device which can properly flush during a plant operation by a method wherein utilizing the pressure difference with a separately tank installed, the reserved water is abruptly run into a water level detection device to perform a flushing.
CONSTITUTION: When a flushing of a water level detecting device is performed, closing valves 19, 20 are kept in closing and a closing valve 23 for flushing is opened and then, the closing valves 19, 20 are slightly opened or closed by means of a remote operation. A pressure difference exists between the reserved water pressure in a tank 12 and the reserved water pressure of a flushing tank 22, reserved water flows rapidly and intermittently toward the tank of low reserved water pressure by means of a slight opening and closing operation of closing valves 19, 20. When a condenser is used as a flushing tank 22, a drain water 11 rapidly flows from the tank 12 into the condenser 22. Precipitate attached to the inner walls of piping 15, 16 and closing valves 19, 20 is flushed away by the water rapid current of this drain water and removed. In this way, a proper flushing can be performed even when operations are being performed.
