Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the life expectancy of a distributor and effectively feed ignition energy to an ignition plug, by attaching a magnet to a rotor of the distributor and turning on/off a switch in accordance with the adsorptive force of the magnet. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 13 is equipped with a magnet 13a in a radial position and also with a balancing weight 13b in a position axially opposed to the magnet 13a. Each time the magnet 13a draws near in accordance with the revolution of the rotor 13, a reed switch 14b is made in sequence. In other words, a movable piece 14c adsorbed by the magnet 13a comes in touch with a fixed piece 14b and high voltage secondary current to be fed to an ignition plug is officiently conducted from the center terminal 15 to a circumferential terminal 16 with which the switch 14 is connected.
