Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the alternation of prescribed pressure of a supply chamber depending on ridden load, by providing a pressure reducing valve for making the fluid pressure of a reaction chamber by a prescribed value lower than that of the supply chamber, between the supply chamber, which is connected to a brake chamber, and the reaction chamber for applying a reaction force to a piston.

CONSTITUTION: A pressure reducing valve, which makes the fluid pressure of a reaction chamber 28 by a prescribed value lower than that of a supply chamber 30 connected to a brake chamber and comprises a pressure control spring 52, a valve element 53 and a valve seat 54, is provided between the supply chamber 30 and the reaction chamber 28 for applying a reaction force to a piston 11. When the liquid pressure of the supply chamber 30 exceeds that of the reaction chamber 28 by the value prescribed by the force of the spring 52, the valve element 53 comes off the valve seat 54 so that the pressure fluid of the chamber 30 flows into the chamber 28. According to this constitution, the control of the liquid pressure of the supply chamber 30 is stopped until the liquid pressure reaches such a predetermined value that effective braking action is performed even if the pressure is low. When the liquid pressure of the chamber 30 is higher than the predetermined value, the pressure can be controlled depending on the loaded condition of a vehicle.
