Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate noise at switching, by operating a timer circuit with the switching signal of a FM/AM change-over switch to interrupt the tuner output. CONSTITUTION:When a change-over swtich 4 is switched to FM side during the reception of AM, a current flows to a capacitor 11 via a capacitor 13 and a resistor 12 to turn on a transistor 7, and the output line L for a FM tuner 1 and AM tuner 2 is grounded. When the charge of the capacitor 13 is finished, the capacitor 11 is discharged via resistors 9 and 10, and when discharge is finished, the transistor 7 is off and the tuner output is output from the line L. When the power supply switch 5 is on, the transistor 7 is also on for a given time for muting operation.
