Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the heat resistance of a laminated panel by joining the opposite principal faces of glass sheets and a platelike body different from the glass sheets in thermal expansion coefficient with an adhesive holding its fluidity.
CONSTITUTION: This laminated panel is obtd. by interposing buffer layer 2 made of soft elastic material such as silicone resin between plastic plates 1A, 1B of polycarbonate or the like and adhering glass sheets 4A, 4B to both sides of the resulting plastic laminated plate with adhesive layers 3A, 3B. Since layers 3A, 3B have sufficient bonding strength and hold their fluidity after the adhesion, the thermal expansion difference between plastic plates 1A, 1B and glass sheets 4A, 4B is absorbed and relieved by adhesive layers 3A, 3B. Accordingly, this panel can be used at a temp. up to the heat resistant temp. of the lowest heat resistant temp. material. When a shock is applied to the glass surface, this panel is prevented from being broken owing to the local deformation of the glass.
