Abstract

PURPOSE: To arrange a coil so that its magnetic flux may flow effectively, to increase the operating speed of a valve and to improve its sealing performance by a method wherein on a fluid passage of a flow control electromagnetic valve is arranged a movable iron which is provided with a spherical valve body, and light in weight and is short of flow passage resistance.
CONSTITUTION: When a coil 3 is electrified, a magnetic circuit is provided through a core 1, a small diameter part 19 of a york 5, a movable iron 7, the movable iron 7 compresses a coil spring 6 and approaches the lowest end of the core 1, a valve seat 8 rises to open a through hole of a valve seat 10 and compressed fuel flows through an orifice 12. When the current of the coil 3 is broken, the movable iron 7 is pushed down by the spring 6 and the valve body 8 shuts the through hole of the valve seat 10. Since the valve is designed so that the coil magnetic flux passes effectively through this movable iron 7 which is provided with a spherical valve body 8, is light in weight and is short of flow passage resistance, the operating speed of the valve can be increased and the sealing performance thereof can be improved.
