Abstract
PURPOSE:To miniaturize a copying machine by arranging a photodetector array and heating elements array while respective elements in both arrays correspond mutually in 1:1 proportion. CONSTITUTION:On substrate 5, photodetector array 6 and heating elements array 7 are provided corresponding to each other through amplifying element array 8. Then, the light of lamp 9 reflected by an original surface lightens array 6 through optical system 10. The output of array 6 is amplified by array 8 and drives heating elements in array 7 to heat recording paper 4a, transferring a picture on the original. Therefore, the copying machine can be miniaturized and its power consumption can be reduced because respective elements in arrays 6, 8 and 7 are made to correspond mutually.
