Abstract

PURPOSE: To use the light picture signal directly as the input picture signal to make it possible to obtain vivid pictures in a high speed, by superposing a transparent electrode layer, a photoconductive material layer, a heating resistor layer, and an opposite electrode layer successively into a layer to constitute an optical image- thermal image conversion plate.
CONSTITUTION: When the optical image, namely, contrast of luminance of every picture element is irradiated from the transparent electrode layer 1 side under the state where voltage V is applied across both electrode layers 1 and 4, the current corresponding to light intensity of each picture element is flowed through photoconductive material layer 2 and heating resistor layer 3, and thus, a heating distribution corresponding to the optical image, namely, light intensty of respective picture elements is obtained. Then, if proper thermosensitive recording paper 5 is compressed to opposite electrode layer 4, a picture corresponding to input light intensity is obtained on this thermosensitive recording paper 5.
