Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a shading curtain device suited for an image forming device provided with a slit exposure optical system and a full surface exposure optical system by providing a shading curtain device which permits easy opening and closing in response to the movement of the slit exposure optical system.
CONSTITUTION: When a full surface exposure optical system X is to be used, an optical system box 13 is advanced up to the left movable end and in this position an electromagnetic clutch 43 is de-energized. Hence, when the box 13 is reset to the rightward position, the shading of an original platen glass 2 is released because the 2nd shading film 36 is held taken up on a take-up shaft 32. In case a slit exposure optical system Y is to be used, the box 13 is advanced to a left direction and in the state that the leading end of the 2nd shading curtain 36 and the box 13 overlap, the clutch 43 is energized. Hence, when exposure by the optical system Y is performed in this state, the disturbance light from the glass 2 is perfectly shaded by the curtains 35, 36 and the adverse influence by the disturbance light is prevented.
