Abstract
PURPOSE: To quickly and surely supply air when any trouble occurs at a blast furnace blower, by blasting air from a blower of another blast furnace to a blast furnace whose troubled blower has blasted so far untill a spare blower is operated normally.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of emergency due to a heavy trouble of either of the first or second blower BL1 or BL2, common valve CV is opened. When for example, blower BL1 is stopped, blower BL2 will supply an emergency amount of air to the first blast furnace BF1 to prevent occurrence of troubles, such as reverse flow of slag, etc., in addition to the normal amount to the second blast furnace BF2. When blower BL2 stops, the blowing amount of BL1 is increased as mentioned above. As a result, when a blower stops due to a trouble, an emergency blast is secured to the blast furnace to which air is supplied from the troubled blower, by means of another blower supplying blast to another blast furnace, without reducing normal blowing rate to the blast furnace. The BL3, T1 and T2, Z1 and Z2, A1 and A2, S1 and S2 and L1 and L2 of the diagram mean a spare blower, outgoing trunk equipment, overall operators, adders, setters and control circuits, respectively.
