Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent time lag between reproduced pictures and reproduced sound signals to obtain a high quality, by providing a sound head, which has a recording private gap and a reproducing private gap individually, to delay recording or reproduced sound signals.
CONSTITUTION: Sound head 5 is so constituted that sound head 5 may have recording private gap 5a and reproducing private gap 5b, and one of the sound signal to be recorded by recording private gap 5a and the sound signal reproduced by reproducing private gap 5b is delayed by a time approximately equal to the value, which is obtained by dividing the interval between these gaps by the relative speed between sound head 5 and magnetic tape 4 to record and reproduce sound signals so that the relative time lag between the reproduced picture and the reproduced sound signal may be eliminated, and therefore, the relative time lag between the reproduced picture and the reproduced sound signal is not generated, and the distortion rate and so on can be improved to record and reproduce sound signals with a high qulaity.
