The level detection circuit 4 detects it, and when the amount of this change reaches a given value, a signal is delivered to a linear motor control circuit 6 via a device control circuit 5. When this signal is delivered at the start of the magnetic disc, the linear motor control circuit 6 feeds a signal A to the linear motor for magnetic disc drive to inhibit the initial seek operation.
