PURPOSE:To prevent the defect due to peeling, by forming the specified substrate and the intermediate material layer consisting of the 1b group elements of 100- 400Angstrom thick, IIa group element, IIb group element, IIIb group element or VII group element or their oxides. CONSTITUTION:The recording disc is constituted with the substrate 1, recording material layer 2 and intermediate material layer 3, and transparent material such as conventional optical glass, acrylic resin, polyethylene and polycarbonate is used for the substrate 1. As the recording material layr 2, single layer such as Te, Bi, alloy layer such as Se-Te, As-Te, or Sb-Te or specific organic substance layer is used, and as the intermediate material layer , the Ib group element such as Cu, Ag, Au, IIa group element such as Be, Mg, IIb element such as Zn, IIIb element such as Al, Ga In or VII group elements such as Ni, Pt, Pd or their oxides is used. As a result, no peeling is caused even if adhesive tape is rapidly peeled.
