Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the utility of a solar water-heater by separating the installation places of the solar-heat collector and the hot-water storage tank of a solar water-heater so that the solar-heat collector can be readily installed at various places around a house.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of solar-heat collecting pipes 1 and 1', which are made of a material of large thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance, are corrugated. To the outer lower portions of the corrugated pipes 1 and 1', semicircular bubble materials 2 and 2' a soft plastic bubble material are bonded, and their outsides are fitted with soft plastic pipes 3 and 3' to form a pair of corrugated combined pipes, which are connected by joints 4 and 4' to obtain a unitary solar-heat collector. Each thermal medium 5 flowing in through an inlet hole 6 is sent through an outlet hole 7 to a hot-water storage tank. Forming a solar-heat collector of only corrugated combined pipes permits the whole collector to be simplified, so that it can be readily installed at various places.
