Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a radial tire which is excellent in lightness, comfortable ride feeling, fuel cost efficiency, and moldability by improving the structure of a braker belt to be inserted into the lower part of a treat.
CONSTITUTION: A breaker belt 6 consists of two breaker belt layers 6A and 6B composed of a textile code and a rubber and a layer formed by winding a textile code 6c around the line of tire. The first breaker belt layer 6A and the second breaker belt layer 6B have both a Young's modulus of 50W500g/d, and the textile code 6c of an organic fiber, formed by winding at an angle of 5° or less to the line of tire, has a Young's modulus of 10W30g/d (comparatively high elongation). The pitch of turns is rough in the tire crown portion P1 and also is dense in the both shoulder portions of tire. Thus, a tire having better comfortable ride feeling and light weight can be obtained.
