Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable attainment of the same function as in a four-horn feed method by a simple constitution by constituting the primary emitter of three horn antennas, of two hybrids and of two halving distrobutors. CONSTITUTION:Sub-horns 2a and 2b have half as much gain as the main horn 1, respectively, and tha angle of viewing the centers of the horns 2a and 2b from the horn 1 is selected to be 90 deg.. A signal entering the horn 1 is halved by the halving distributor 3a and the signal thus halved gets into 180 deg. hybrids 4a and 4b, respectively. The hybrid 4a outputs the sum signal from the horns 1 and 2a to a waveguide 9a, while outputting the difference signal to a terminal 6a. The hybrid 4b outputs the sum signal from the horns 1 and 2b to a waveguide 9b, while outputting the difference signal to a terminal 6b. The difference signals of the terminals 6a and 6b discriminate, respectively, angular errors in the direction O-X and the direction O-Y. The sum signals outputted to the waveguides 9a and 9b are composed by the halving distributor 3b and the signal thus composed is outputted to the terminal 5. Accordingly, this signal turns to be the outpt of the sum among the horns 1 and 2a and 2b.
