Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent false reading of flow rate and save labor by a method wherein a magnetic body is fitted to a rotary piece rotating in direct proportion to the flow rate and is made to pass the opening part of the magnetic path of an inductor with a magnetic core and thereby the flow rate is detected from the change in amount of inductance.
CONSTITUTION: When water flows in a water pipe, a rotary blade 2 is rotated in the direction of an arrow in proportion to the flow rate, while a rotary shaft 3 is rotated, being supported by a supporting point 4. With this rotation, a magnet 6 fitted to the rotary piece 5 rotates through the opening of the inductor 9. The output brought about the change in inductance of a Maxwell capacity bridge 11 whose one side is the inductor 9 is delivered from an output terminal 18. On said occasion, an oscillation frequency whereby each subscriber can be discriminated is employed for an oscillator 12. Based on this output a line register is determined through the intermediary of a detector 19 and a counting circuit 20, and the value is converted in frequency and is transmitted to a totalizing center through a transmission channel. By this constitution, the false reading is prevented and the labor-saving can be attained.
