Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain accurate measurement of storage quantity at the time any amount is coming into an ore accumulator by installing a level meter in the middle of the ore accumulator and a couple of fullness sensors at an equal distance to the right and left from that position of level meter in the conveying direction and by locating material incoming positions at two adjacent points to each sensor.
CONSTITUTION: A level meter 16 is installed approx. in the middle of the upper part of an ore accumulator 12, and the firstand second fullness sensors 17, 18 are mounted at an equal distance to the right and left from this level meter 16 in the conveying direction 14. In the neighborhood of these sensor 17, 18, material incoming positions A, B are located. The level meter 16 makes measurement from the ore accumulator's 12 being empty until the first fullness sensor's 17 coming into operation while a calculator 22 makes calculation from the first fullness sensor's 17 coming into operation until the second fullness sensor's 18 being actuated on the basis of signals sensed by both sensors 17, 18, an incoming quantity sensor 20 and a cut-out quantity sensor 21. According to this arrangement, the storage quantity at the time of any amount's coming in can be measured accurately, on the basis of which material control can be properly performed.
