Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled adhesive having a low minimum film-forming temperature, improved stability and adhesiveness, by grafting an acrylic or methacrylic ester onto styrene-butadiene block copolymer, and adding a solvent to the graft copolymer.
CONSTITUTION: 5W150pts.wt. an acrylic or methacrylic ester is grafted onto 100pts.wt. a block copolymer expressed by the formula (A-B)n, A-(B-A)n or (A-B)mX (A is styrene polymer block; B is butadiene or isoprene polymer block; (n) is an integer≥1; (m) is an integer≥3; X is a polyfunctional compound in which (m) polymer chains are linked) in the presence of a radical polymerization initiator by the emulsion method. The solvent is left in the resultant polymer emulsion in the desolvation step to give the aimed adhesive with a content of the solvent 0.2W1.5 times that of the solid content.
