Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled composition, having a high adhesive strength to metal and glass and improved thermosetting and photosetting properties and resistance to solvents and heat, and containing a maleinized polyisoprene, a specific amount of a vinyl monomer and a photosensitizer or a radical polymerization initiator.
CONSTITUTION: An adhesive obtained by incorporating (A) 100pts.wt. maleinized polyisoprene, preferably a maleinization ratio (maleic content) of 3W60wt%, prepared by adding a maleic compound, preferably maleic anhydride, to a liquid polyisoprene preferably having a viscosity-average molecular weight of 500W80,000 with (B) 10W500pts.wt. vinyl monomer, preferably a monomer having a (meth)acryloyl group, e.g. methyl methacrylate, and an alkenylbenzene, e.g. styrene, (C) 0.5W10pts.wt., based on 100pts.wt. the components (A) and (B), photosensitizer, e.g. benzoin, or a radical polymerization initiator, e.g. henozyl peroxide.
