Abstract

PURPOSE:To make use of sound from the rear surface of a disphragm effectively by acoustically combining the front surface and rear surface of the diaphragm and the space where listeners exist, by using (n) loudspeaker units having disphragms with acoustically divided surfaces. CONSTITUTION:Surfaces F1<1> and F1<2> (front surfaces of disphragm of loudspeaker unit ) are positioned inside of the concentric circle centering on the center of diaphragm 1, F1<2> and F2<2> are also positioned outside of it, and the space where listeners are staying is denoted as S, thereby using the constitution of pipe 2. Then, F1<1> and F2<1>, and F1<2> and F2<2> are acoustically isolated mutually and acoustic distances between F2<1> and R1<2> (rear surfaces of diaphragm), and F2<2> and R1<2> are denoted as (d). Then when signals of sound of wavelength (lambda) are supplied in phase to two loudspeaker units, [F2<1>, R1<2>], [F2<2>, R1<1>] makes the diaphragms of loudspeaker units easy to oscillate with 4d<(lambda)<infinity .
