Abstract

PURPOSE: To determine the torsional vibration of a rotating shaft by generating a rotating pulse every time the rotating shaft rotates by a slight constant angle and measuring the phase difference between the rotating pulse and the reference pulse.

CONSTITUTION: The generator 1 mounted on a rotating shaft to be measured generates a rotating pulse every time the rotating shaft 1 rotates by teeth pitch of θ degrees. A reference pulse generator 10 produces a reference pulse having a frequency equivalent to a central frequency of a rotating pulse, counts a clock pulse of a clock pulse oscillator 3. The counting cycle is controlled by a rotating pulse and every cycle of the rotating pulse, a cycle measuring part 2, for converting the synchronism thereof into a pulse number, a central cycle computing part 4 for inputting the cycle value converted into the pulse number and a suitable plurality of moving average values and a pulse generating part 5 for generating a reference pulse every time lead-in number of the clock pulses coincide with the average value comprise the reference pulse generator 10.
